Zin Vathek, also known as Zin the Unmovable, is a main character along with Estelle Bight and her friends in the The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky trilogy.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Zin is very huge, which many characters note when they first see him, and his sense of clothes obviously is shown from his descent from the Calvard Republic. He wears a yellow scarf over his neck, has a bottle of alcohol for himself to drink, and he has brown hair with some sides sticking up. His weapon of choice are his gauntlets to greatly enhance his martial arts.

Personality[]

Zin's personality is one of that of an honorable man as he helps Joshua Bright and Estelle Bright just because he wanted to help out a couple of good friends of his. He is very chappy with his fellows and he loves to drink a lot. He stills acts like a big brother to everyone despite his excessively huge and scary stature. He is also fond of comely lasses used to help the party out one time.

Character Profile[]

Zin Vanthek was once a student training under the Taito Style in Calvard under Master Ryuga Rouran, with his fellow pupils, Kilika Rouran and Walter. After his master's death, he continued to train to where eventually became Calvard's A-rank Bracer, establishing many guild connections in and out of the Republic. His reputation grew to where the republic's shady syndicates consider him a threat.

One of his connections was Cassius Bright, a fellow bracer whose rank being one grade higher. To one point during a co-joint operation, Zin accepted a request from his old friend to reciprocate the favor back then. That request was to assist his bracer-becoming children back in Liberl, where he participated in the Martial Arts Tournament (mostly single-handedly) and rendezvoused with Estelle and Joshua to assist against Colonel Richard's coup d'tat.

Afterwards, he remained to accompany Estelle's party in her search for Joshua. As their search continually bump into Ouroboros's Gospel Plan, Zin remained with the group where he eventually clashed fists with an old friend.

Notes/Trivia[]

  • Zin's English voice actor, Patrick Seitz, is the same voice of Dogi, a main character from another Falcom series called Ys.
  • He was briefly seen in one of the flashbacks in Zero no Kiseki, indicating his participation in the D∴G Extermination.
  • Initially when the Trails series was localized, his name was changed to Zane with no concrete reason.[1]
