Instructor Sara is a high-balanced character, much like Jusis. However, she trades magical prowess for raw strength and debilitating attacks. Her Crafts, while cost prohibitive, are useful for controlling large groups of enemies. Her Speed is above average so she's able to cast and attack sooner compared to other characters such as Gaius and Alisa, who trail a bit behind her. She possesses A ranks in Slash, Pierce, and Thrust, which helps unbalance the enemy.
She can be outfitted in any way but lacks the specialized qualities of more dedicated characters such as Rean, Laura, Gauis for attack power, Milluim and Machias with their high survivability, and Emma's and Elliot's magical powers. However, her good Speed, above average EP and HP pools can lend her as a durable spell caster, speedy attacker, or even help round out a specialized team.
Sara has the worst field attack in Cold Steel 1. Not only does it have a noticeable start up, but the enemies actually recover faster than her! Fortunately in Cold Steel 2, she is much better and has arguably the best field attack. She can now shoot if the enemy is far away, and her close range attack causes a lot of delay to the enemy. It's very easy for her to attack and circle the enemy for a Pre-Emptive attack.
