Can I request if possible that could you restore my admin status?? I know we haven't been on "understanding" terms, but I'll still stick to my end-of-year pledge, and won't interfere with any of your edits until we have an official format guideline for this wiki.
Seeing from your "protest about me" notice, I pledge to dedicate the rest of this year to keep adding new pages to fill the missing elements for all users to fill.
I regret that no apology might ever make up the way I keep clashing with others as an admin. It's just I've been one-man handling this wiki while juggling with other wikis of interest before you came along. I find it difficult to cooperate with others who don't probably share the same passion with this series as I am.
Should there be anyhow to discuss what we could do together, we should probably "chat" with the live chat on our user pages.
Some of them do it. It really just depends on if you want to put the work in to categorize them, because it can be helpful to have all Fire-weak enemies (for example) sorted together for obvious purposes.
I wouldn't start with these categories just yet. I would go with something like "Arts-Reflective Enemies", " Physically-Immune Enemies". Something more general that the viewers can understand from the page, and not from the categories. Having mutliple categories per weakness is going overboard with many categories per enemy page.
I prefer something more condensed, like "Invincible Enemies" for the final level bosses and such, cause they are resistant to all status, and 100 efficacy to all elements will only give them average damage.
If you get too general then there's not much point in having the distinction.
I can't personally think of any enemies that are completely immune to physical attacks, or any that inherently reflect arts... but I think it's just a matter of finding the correct way to define the category.
Here's a couple of suggestions for categories:
Enemies that cast Arts
Enemies that inflict Abnormal Status
Either way, it's useful to be able to find all enemies that can resist Poison, for example, or inflict it. It really just helps things look organized.
I see your doing the character's stories and gameplay, sttarting with Rean. With what I noticed your posting, I preferred in the Story tab summarized with synopsis from past to present with any images to annotate them.
The gameplay shoud have detailed bacground info to describe their roles inside and outside battles, which is what I did with Rean.
Just to let you know, what I did with Rean's gameplay should stay there
I was wondering if you noticed the search bar on top. You can type in anything to confirm which page exists, in which case the Monsterpedia pages does. Maybe its best to work on the wiki's editing policy cause I can't stand these activity clashes
I know I haven't fiddling around pages within the disambiguations, but can I request you restore those deleted since yesterday? I'd like to put this between how we discussed with the Crafts page. I might not have any disagreements with your consolidation of the Monsterpedia pages, but don't you think its more feasible which monster comes from per game in each series.
This really opts me to put up a merge notice template before commencing. I'll do that template
Seems a lot better as if making a book. Besides, with the "Zero/Ao" duology not locatlized, we're gonna have to guess and estimate the translations ourselves. I was thinking, leave it to me, as if I don't know anyone else here who can read japanese.
I'm only thinking, its the only was to group things in order before any other recommendations like merging
Simplly just like we were talking about the Crafts page, there should be some sort of substitute listing in order.
Yes, its to sort the Monsterpedia subpages by games because we shouldn't pull all enemies names together just yet. The Zero/Ao duology has yet any news of localization + we have make preperations with Akatsuki and ToCS3
Is there problems with my edits after my "cleanup" on the Crafts page? I thought it should be more generalized through clearer words and grammar. Plus you brought back the tables, where I thought the cellspacing is too big, and not all character's craft is listed. Are you suggesting viewers should view one long page for all crafts tables??
Well, I actually just wanted to create a subpage like /List of Crafts to add to the main page, and that was the simplest way to get all of the information together before I do that. Your clean-up is okay, though some of the grammar is off.
It was a thinking process, hence I'm proofreading while typing. Besides with what's happening right now, I can only concetrate one page while wondering which page should link next. Other than tabs, you should notice some wikis have "See Also" headings, and a footer navbar.
I think its probably to much for one tab or two per Trails chapter series (Sky/Zero/Cold Steel), etc. While character statuses change from the last game, the next game tends to make them more flexible, evolving their moves like in Inazuma Eleven. Even if we condense all game Crafts for one character, doen't it seem confusing knowing where to go next while the Zero/Ao duology has yet to be localized.
That's why I moved the tables to their corresponding characters cause its much feasible to look. Am I getting you there?
I don't think you're getting the purpose of what I'm doing.
It doesn't hurt to have the information in more than one place.
For instance, let's say a reader visits the Craft page. They read about Crafts and decide "I want to know which Crafts Estelle Bright can use!"
They can either head to her /Gameplay page, or visit the /List of Crafts page, which would be divided by characters or games, or whatever looks cleanest, and find information on all of the Crafts for the characters and games that they wish.
Any chars with monsterpedia entries (if any), because they're bosses should be in another tab, cause they're like different sides of the "same coin"
Personally I think we should keep all relevant gameplay-related information for a character on one page. That's not to say that, for example, /Rean (monsterpedia) couldn't be its own page, but it shouldn't be a tab on the Rean Schwarzer main page. Instead it would be referred to under the /Gameplay page.
Why woud you believe that all the tables in a seperate tab is sufficient? Its kinda already for every party member here.
What do you mean by this?
And to be honest, I've had my min on the "Arts" and "Crafts" page for a long time, and I kinda worked all day to finally generalize things out
The "Arts" and "Crafts" pages, it has not been defined up to a universal point for all Trails games until I edited yesterday. I worked all day on the Crafts page, moving every table to the new table format in every /Crafts and S-Crafts pages. If you look at the arts and craft pages comparing my edits, they realy need a fixer-upper
OK, I'd like to about any issues you see around with my edits, cause Im trying to put up with a consistency around. Like don't consolidate the battle status and crafts tab, how would anybody know where to look?
Allow me to apologize for the late reply; my internet access was down.
Now on to the matter at-hand:
I feel that it is better to provide a single source for relevant information on a topic than it is to force readers to visit other pages for it. With battle status and crafts we can do this by consolidating information into one article, called "Gameplay" (or whatever, that's just what seemed appropriate at the time). Then we can section the article to provide all of the pertinent information together.
If you feel it is simply a matter of being unable to locate the information from outside the page itself, we can use anchors to link to specific parts of the article, meaning there's no real reason to think the content would be unable to be found.
Before that, I notice things not all pages in different categories are sharing the same consistency. And i can't get my mind off there are still many things yet untitled. So here's this, whatever pages not yet created, I'll do it under the dubbed names (excluing those in the Zero/Ao duology). Lets not worry about Akatsuki just yet, I think its time to bring this wiki up to date with all pages in their correct category in the network.
I notice you somehow don't appreciate my auto-cats in the new templates. Any problems about my editin, please notify.
Are you most concerned about having pages in their proper categories first? I'll admit that the reason I have removed the auto-cat in some of the templates recently is that the categories (or the templates themselves) just aren't finalized yet, so it makes organizing simpler if we don't have to deal with that until we've decided things.
Some categories that have been made are relatively empty, or are completely. Sometimes that's intentional, either because the category is just meant for organization purposes (sometimes they are the 'eponymous category'), or because it's made with the intention that it will be used in the future. That may contribute to some of the inconsistency you are feeling.
can't say whatever, but about pages like Mira (gameplay) and Arnor dynasty. I'd prefer Mira (gameplay) and Arnor Dynasty. Not that I disagree, but if these pages are necessary, perhaps its better if you fill in them with more info
Hey, I was wondering if everything was alright with the page on the subject: Soldats?
Just asking, since I was the one that helped in researching, detailing, & listing out the models. Their creation, some info, different model types including a variant use of those of a different paint job, & also labeling out my best of those that pilot each one through CS & CS II, including named attacks?
I'm still new to helping to post some stuff to help the site, so if there was some stuff missed in splitting categories, I'm sorry...
But I suppose now I'll just leave it to the professionals to order things out, & hope it comes out great. Maybe someday we'll get pictures to be place in?
Anyway, reply to this if you feel comfy answering my question?
I definitely appreciate the contributions you are making to the wiki. You're providing a lot of information on several subjects, which is very helpful.
As you said, however, there will be a preferred way to display this information. Deciding on what that is will be the admins' duty, though you are certainly welcome to introduce any input you may have.
For now, just do as you are and don't stress too much about formatting things perfectly.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask them, and thanks again for helping to make the wiki a place to be proud of.
Besides, the original work I made is still on a Wall Chat earlier, but I've thought about making the display appear...officient for viewers. Organized, Layout Patterns in order, there are a few things on information I may have yet uncovered? But hopefully, the page will look even more fantastic. Oh, and I hope the mentioned attacks performed can be seen too...fans just love knowing what moves an enemy or hero can perform.
Well till then, I'll just help with what I can, & hope everything will turn out well.
It's probably best to use the sprites from TiTS or Zero/Ao since the information isn't as pertinent for CS due to the orbment changes, and I would imagine the TiTS files are easier to access since the game has a PC version.
I would grab them myself but I don't have it on PC currently.
