Joshua leans more on power and speed over everything else with Time as his Orbment element. Two of Joshua's Orbment slots are exclusively for Time Quartz only; however, not all of them are restricted like this. The slots that are Time-exclusive are the center and middle top. This coupled with his 2 lines on his orbments makes making endgame arts calibur a hard deal so usually his orbment slots are used to increase his parameters as he is the physical character never leaving the party in the first game.
Having over-balanced stats, Joshua is definitely one of the best characters to use in any where his speed is unrivaled out of Alan Richard in the 3rd. Beware of his low defenses which is covered by his high offense and HP. Below is his initial default stats upon starting his role per game.
Joshua's crafts are specialized with all different kinds of offense. With delay effects, KO chance and a double attack that adds considerably more damage than his normal attack, Joshua's strength lies in the flexible use of his offensive crafts in any situation. With later half of the any game littered with enemies that are resistant to delay effects or cast interruptions, Joshua's Dual Strike is most likely the highest source of physical damage. His S-Craft is exceptionally useful throughout the game, as his last strongest can hit all targets on the battlefield. Be careful that his crafts take consumes CP, hence trying to invest his S-Craft is difficult.
