The Hundred Days War is an event in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, taking place ten years before the story takes place. This event affected the lives of many including Estelle Bright.

StoryEdit

Breaking out ten years before Trails in the Sky during spring of 1192 of the Septian Calendar, the empire of Erebonia invaded Liberl, breaking through the Haken Gate using their orbal tanks. The invasion was a reaction to a massacre of the inhabitants of the southern Imperial village of Hamel, supposedly committed by Liberlian troops. In truth, the incident was perpetrated by militant members of the Erebonian government in order to create a pretext for the war.

The empire sent half of its military force, which itself exceeded three times of Liberl's entire Royal Army. Soon, they occupied the entire Liberl region, except the capital Grancel.

After two months of war, the Calvard Republic aided Liberl in her time of need, and the Royal Army began utilizing their orbalship technology to employ blitzkrieg tactics on the invading force, yet the war raged on. Soon three patrol ships were made with high-performance orbal weaponry were developed secretly in Liberl. With the command of General Morgan, Cassius Bright, and Alan Richard, Liberl's forces quickly recaptured the checkpoints connecting each region, cutting off the Imperial supply lines. They launched an attack from Leiston Fortress and defeated the remaining isolated imperial divisions one by one.

The Erebonian invasion force was defeated, and the Empire sued for peace. Wary of the dangers should Erebonia commit its full strength to the war, Liberl's Queen Alicia II and the Bracer guild negotiated with Erebonia and the two countries signed a peace treaty, ending the war which lasted for about 100 days. They negotiated in the Erbe Royal Villa in the following year of 1193. As part of the peace terms, neither party was to make any further mention of Hamel. The Empire quietly executed the parties responsible for the incident.
